The Making of Mickey's Christmas Carol

Here's a special behind-the-scenes look at Mickey's Christmas Carol. It was released on home video in the mid-1980s alongside the special itself. It even managed to find its way onto the Mickey In Living Color DVD set on the Walt Disney Treasures line as a bonus there. Enjoy!

And as another bonus, here's an intro to this special when it was shown on network TV (NBC, in this case) and shown with other holiday-themed (or at least winter-themed) Disney cartoons:

Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Disney's Haunted Halloween

Here's a special educational video all about Halloween:

Produced in 1983, in this video, Goofy and a talking jack-o-lantern tell all about the history of Halloween and its traditions and superstitions, through the use of various appropriately-themed Disney cartoons of the past. Who would've thought that cats can actually bring good, not bad, luck on Halloween? In any case, enjoy and happy Halloween!

Part of this complete breakfast!

Just a quick one...

A few days ago, I had a very Disney breakfast just for fun!

I thought it was kind of neat. Donald Duck orange juice is still made, but it's very hard to come by. You can find it at Winco grocery stores, but I think that's the only place you can find it.

Stay safe, WDW!

My condolences go out to Walt Disney World, which is right in the path of Hurricane Irma, it seems. According to this article here, http://www.themeparkinsider.com/flume/201709/5712/, Walt Disney World and all Central Florida attraction venues, including Universal and Sea World, will be shut down on Sunday and Monday as the hurricane bears down. Monday is 9/11, the exact same date, ironically, that the parks all shut down in response to the terrorist attacks sixteen years ago! This is not only the theme parks, but also all water parks (obviously) and shopping districts. The resorts, however, will remain open and provide shelter.

Here is a list of what exactly is happening right now:

I heard that Cinderella Castle was built to last forever, but does it include a hurricane like this? And will the rest of the resort's tall structures, like Spaceship Earth and the Tower of Terror, be able to withstand the storm? In any case, Central Florida (which is also where I have an aunt and uncle, who live in Tampa) has my condolences. Stay safe!

My 2017 D23 cosplay gallery, part two

Here now is the gallery of Disney cosplays I got from my second and last day at D23. You can look at the day one gallery here. Once again, I will include myself and my sister in whenever possible. That's me as Geppetto, just so you know. Enjoy!

Jedi Aladdin

Two women wearing the maps of Disneyland and the CA Adventure

 '80s Minnie Mouse

 Slue Foot Sue

The wolf from "Into the Woods"

Kirk Douglas as Ned Land in "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea"

 Johnny Appleseed

There you have it, my galleries of cosplayers from D23 2017. Barring any life-or-death scenarios, I will once again be making the trip in 2019, and once again, I not only have an idea for what to be, but it will also be timely, as the character will come (at least partly) from a property hitting a new decade at that time.

My 2017 D23 cosplay gallery, part one

As promised, I attended the D23 2017 event, for which I was dressed up as Geppetto from Pinocchio, one of my absolute favorite Disney movies. My sister, meanwhile, cosplayed as Madame Leota, from the Haunted Mansion, one of her absolute favorite Disney attractions. As I did last time, I went for just two days rather than the full three. In those two days, I took so many pictures I couldn't possibly do a whole post at once. Instead, there will be two posts, one for each day. I will include myself and my sister in at least one or two at a time, but mostly this is of other cosplayers I got. Enjoy!
